SONGWRITING CAMPFIRE at Hawkwood College nr Stroud
The approach to this course will be playful. You will be guided through musical and lyrical games and exercises, free-writing , and connecting with self and nature, into new realms of creativity.
Exercises will involve working by ear, through improvisation, and are not music theory based. You not have to play a musical instrument to do this course, but are invited to bring one if you do.
Over the duration of the course raw material will be generates, new songs may be formed, compelling first line and catchy melodies will be written, with engaging stories and emotion will be at the centre. Ideas will be shared around the “songwriting campfire”, allowing them the light, air and warmth they need to develop and grow as you discover, or re-discover, your unique voice.
