“In 2022 it was my privilege to review “The Glass Age”, one of the stand out albums of the year which I described as capturing the “Zeitgeist better than anything I’ve heard”. The electronics and sparseness of the recording, and dystopia feel of the live shows, put me in mind of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” which seemed very suited to a work that studied our relationship with screens and machines. 2023 sees a revisit of the album but this time with a simpler acoustic backing and so I was eager to see if this would change the feel of the songs in any way.

“I was surprised, and pleasantly pleased, to hear how different the two albums were. It speaks massively of Dan’s ability as a writer and performer that he can show different sides to the same material so effectively. Even if you have the original you should get this one; if you don’t, get both.”
