Sunshine Sunday

Dear Sun,

Thank you for coming out to play and wearing your hat all day yesterday. As elbow so aptly say “one day like this a year will see me right”….

The band and I, (plus video crew MJH Productions and dear friends) descended upon Barr Beacon in Walsall/Gt. Barr – the highest point in Birmingham and the Black Country to produce a video.

We recorded live performances of several songs from our forthcoming ‘BALLOON EP’, including a collaboration with Steve and Michael of ‘Rogue States’ on backing vocals, as well as footage for a promo vid for ‘It’s Good To Getaway’.

We couldn’t have been luckier with the weather, watch this space for bright blue sky, more pics coming soon courtesy of Dario Colombo.

Bye for now and hope to see you at Varsity tomorrow.

Balloons on Barr Beacon Bandstand

Good evening,

Tonight I present to you some news of my busy week and lots of great video clips.

Today I was working on artwork for The Balloon EP with the wonderful Rosalind Alexis Glover, earlier in the week I recruited the lovely Ian of Choice Balloons to produce a ‘needles, pins and all sharp things’ ltd. edition yellow balloon, mixing the EP tomoro with Chef and video with MJH Productions on Sunday.

I have been looking through You tube for inspiration, thought you may like some of these:

First national radio play on BBC 6 Music

I was pleasantly surprised last night to receive an email from Tom Robinson’s producer informing me he will be playing my song ‘Somewhere I Don’t Want To Go’ on his BBC 6 Music show this week. The show airs on Sunday morning 00:00 – 02:00 and Monday morning 01:00 – 03:00. Those who don’t want to stay up will be able to ‘listen again’ on the BBC website.

This will be my first national radio play, so very exciting! I have decided to make the song available as a free mp3 download, so visit the site from Monday 15th September to get your hands on it.

To read about 6 music, and Tom’s introducing show, or to introduce another (or you own) song to him click here.
